1935 FORD 5 WINDOW COUPE
This wonderful 5 Window Rumble Seat Coupe has an extremely interesting history. It has the title from 1942 and received a new title in 1977, both of which come with the car.
The early years of ownership were between the Studsdahl brothers of Bruce, South Dakota and then transferred to just one of the brothers, Albert Studsdahl in 1942. The second owner, Dean Tellinghuisen remembers the car on the Studsdahl farm in South Dakota as a boy and when he was older, actually got to drive the car around the farm. The car was stored for many years at the farm until Dean bought it in 1975. Dean had the car towed to California and began the restoration process. Most of the parts were purchased in the 70s when New Old Stock (NOS) parts were still available. Dean was an electrical engineer and everything had to be just right. All the internal engine parts were replaced with new, even if the old parts were still good. The car was originally Cordova Tan, but was re-painted as it is now in Dearborn Blue. After 30 years of work, Dean realized that he would never drive the car and sold it to Todd Batiste of Arlington, Texas. Todd finished what he could and then sold it to Greg Thompson of Pilot Point, Texas to finish the restoration.
It is a remarkable car that needs very little to make it perfect. Runs and drive excellent and the interior is terrific. 1935 Ford 5 Window Coupes are getting harder and harder to find, especially in this condition.
